October 2026 general local election
Every seat on council is decided this October. This page is where the dates, the rules and the candidate information belong — and it says plainly which of those the Village has not published yet.
What is being decided
The Village's homepage records that the 2022 – 2026 council began its term at the regular meeting at 7:00pm on November 7th. That four-year term ends at the October 2026 general local election, which the Village's own navigation already announces.
Every seat at the council table goes to the electorate: the Mayor and the councillors. The number of councillor seats is confirmed against the Village's records before publication — this concept does not state it as fact.

Election enquiries are addressed to the office that runs the election, not to a named person, so the route stays correct if the appointment changes.

Statutory notices — notice of nomination, notice of election by voting, notice of advance voting — must be published on their own dates. In a live build each one is posted here as HTML and cross-posted to News and notices, so a resident meets it whichever way they arrive.
Why this page is in the main navigation
An election is the one municipal event with a hard deadline and no second chance. A resident who misses the nomination window cannot run; a resident who misses voting day cannot vote. It earns a permanent place in the top-level navigation for the whole of 2026 — not a link buried under a governance page that reads "Coming soon".
