Everything the Village needs to tell residents, in one dated list, with the date shown before the reader has to click.
The newest item on the Village's communications page is the June 2025 Village Voice — about thirteen months ago. A feed that has not moved in a year teaches residents to stop checking it, and once they stop checking, notices that matter stop landing.

One entry per notice. Date and category first, then a title that says what the notice is about. No entry on this site is ever labelled "More Info".

Whatever the Village has told residents in the past thirteen months belongs in this list: closures, tenders, hearings, water notices, newer issues of the Village Voice. This concept publishes no municipal notice it cannot verify, so the space stays empty and says why.
What one entry costs to publish
- 1. Choose a category, write a title in plain words, paste the text.
- 2. Attach the PDF if there is one — as an extra, never as the only copy.
- 3. Publish. The entry appears here, on the home page, and in the feed subscribers receive.
Three fields and one button. A communications manager should not need a developer to tell a village that the water is off.

- Public notice
- Statutory notices: bylaw adoption, public hearings, tax deadlines, elections.
- Service disruption
- Water advisories, road and utility work, landfill and office closures.
- Newsletter
- Issues of the Village Voice.
- Council decision
- A plain-language note on what council resolved, linked to the minutes.
- Opportunity
- Tenders, grants, job postings and committee vacancies, each with a closing date.
Categories are shown as words, not colour swatches, so the list works for a reader who cannot separate the hues and for one reading it aloud.
An email list, an RSS feed, or both — and whoever the Village already uses to send the Village Voice. The route matters more than the technology: on an island, a notice that only exists on a website reaches the people who thought to look.
The Village Voice
The Village publishes a newsletter called the Village Voice. The most recent issue the Village has posted is the June 2025 edition.
An archive earns its keep: it is where a resident goes to find the thing they half remember reading. It needs every issue, in order, each one readable as a web page as well as a download.

A notice published only as a PDF is a notice that is hard to read on a phone, hard to enlarge, hard to search and, depending on how the PDF was made, sometimes impossible to hear. Every entry in this system is HTML first. The PDF stays available for anyone who wants the signed copy.
